Virgin Blue has recently joined with the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre to support its work establishing a National Indigenous Leadership network.
The project aim is to create an independent Indigenous network creating opportunities for relationship building, strategic thinking and research on effective Indigenous leadership and Indigenous leadership styles in families, communities, organisations and enterprises in local, regional and national settings.
The Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC) is an organisation born out of an idea that with the right opportunities, skills and knowledge Indigenous people could harness their own destinies. Since its creation the AILC has upheld this belief and developed a range of programs and courses that have continued to build capacity and strengthen potential amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) the AILC provides Australia’s only accredited courses in Indigenous Leadership, as well as non-accredited short courses in specific leadership skills. The centre offers Certificate II, Certificate IV and Advanced Diploma courses in Indigenous leadership across Australia.
